How do You Get Rid of Acne on Your Butt

Acne is not only embarrassing, but it is painful and can be a lifelong ailment for millions of people. Many assume that those suffering from it simply do not good care of themselves or that they are dirty people not investing the time in good hygiene practices and that cannot be further from the truth. Millions of people both young and old develop acne and it can occur anywhere on the body. While most generally develop it on their faces, it can also be on the body in the neck, arms, shoulders, back and even on the butt. Many people are stuck wondering how do you get rid of acne on your butt and this is a very sensitive subject that many of them are not exactly comfortable with visiting their dermatologist about.

Butt acne is very common, but not as common as cases on the face or back. The acne can develop on the butt from a few things that can be changed in your lifestyle and in most cases it is just a temporary setback. You can develop it from what type of clothing you wear as far as tight fitted apparel, which should be not worn at the very least until your blemishes disappear. When you wear tight clothing it restricts the skin from breathing causing the pores to have a blockage and forming acne. Wearing certain items that rub across the infected areas will only make the situation worse also. Wear loose fitting apparel and be very cautious for those that exercise or are very active. Anytime your body is in movement and it begins to sweat a lot the skin has pores that are wide open to drain out that sweat and when you have tight workout apparel on the sweat is trapped and begins to fill those open pores with sweat which clogs them causing the acne to form.

How to get rid of acne on your butt is a matter of wearing the proper apparel that is not only loose fitting, but that is always clean as well. Also drink plenty of water on a daily basis as that will provide additional help in those problem areas. You can always try to put some over the counter acne ointments on the butt areas that are infected as well. Shower daily and keep the areas free of dirt and tight clothing until it clears up.
