Pseudoscience in Autism Treatment

Autism is one of those medical marvels that can keep the public guessing with all of the myths and reasons millions assume their child has obtained autism and also on effective methods of treatment as well. Pseudoscience in autism treatment is on the rise with all of the theories that have yet to be medically proven and still there are a large number of people that seem to think all of these tales are true.

Pseudoscience in autism treatment can be when someone be that person an expert or a parent of autism, creates or encourages the treatment of autism to others by expressing how magnificent it is to aide these children back to health when it is not a proven medical technique as of yet in the autism communities. For example, many people now believe that autism can be obtained by the MMR vaccine and this is due to one researcher claiming they had proven studies that displayed the autism trait shortly after the vaccine was administered. They feel that way as perhaps a coincidence, but scientifically speaking that vaccine ahs been administered in children since the 1970’s making it somewhat of a challenge to seem truly realistic. The pseudoscience continues with treatment methods as well, several people are claming the stem cell treatments have been very effective lately and other medical professional claim that cannot be possible. The way to navigate through all of the truths and the autism treatment myths is to consult with your family doctor and an expert in autism in your area first. Do not try a method of treatment that you have not heard very much about and do not give your child any chemicals, vaccines or other treatments to aim to cure them of their autism before you get the permission from a doctor to do so as you would not want to aggravate their condition. Think realistically, if there was a treatment out in the world that possessed the astonishing ability to actually cure autism every doctor would be claiming it was their theory and it would be administered in communities everywhere to help these patients. The fact of the matter is that as of yet, there has not been a full cure revealed for autism and it’s many traits and the longer these experts work on finding one, the closer the world will come to having schools with less teacher aides and children becoming more independent on their own. It will be a great day to rejoice when that day finally arrives when those parents can be grateful for the cure for autism if one develops, but until then do not fall prey to the many practices of pseudoscience in autism treatment theories that are out there currently.
