3 Super Proteins: Lose Weight Eating These

meatMost people are well aware that what they eat can either cause them to gain weight or give them a real chance of losing it. However, when many weight loss experts give people advice on how to lose weight, their directions are pretty vague. For example, common advice is to eat lean protein, whole grains and vegetables. While this is good basic information, unless you know exactly what foods fit into these categories, this advice might not help at all. In this article, we are going to discuss 3 protein foods that are great for weight loss. We will tell you exactly which ones to eat and why they are effective for helping people lose weight . These three proteins are eggs, soy and cheese.

 

Eggs: A study by Louisiana State-Baton Rouge did a study that found that individuals (women in this case) who ate 2 eggs every day were able to lose nearly 70% more weight and more then 80% more belly fat then individuals who instead ate a bagel for breakfast. The bagel and eggs had the same amount of calories. However, those that ate the protein rich eggs came away losing substantially more weight. This is partly believed to be because protein helps individuals feel full for longer. As a result, people do not feel the need to either binge or continuously snack. The metabolism also speeds up because of the amino acids in the egg yolk.

 

Soy: Soy is another great protein for dieters. Eating soy protein gets lipolysis going. Lipolysis encourages the body to burn fat and use it for energy instead of storing it. Soy also has branched-chain amino acids. These help to burn fat as well but also to thwart the production of fat.

 

Cheese:  Eating cheese everyday can really be helpful in helping people lose weight. It is best to buy and eat low-fat cheese. Full fat cheeses can be fattening. Dairy foods contain both calcium and protein. This combination helps prevent the body from storing fat.

 

Consuming low protein everyday can significantly improve your chances of losing weight. Protein has a number of weight loss benefits. It helps individuals stay full longer, speeds up the metabolism and slows down the storage of fat. However, it is important to choose the right proteins. The wrong ones or those prepared the wrong way will add inches to your waist line rather then make you thinner.  While soy, cheese and eggs are great protein rich options if you add unhealthy “extras” you can end up gaining weight instead of losing it. For example, eating eggs by themselves is fantastic and has great dieting benefits. However, if you slather them with full fat cheese, sour cream and bacon bits, then you will be counteracting the benefits of the eggs. Instead of helping you lose weight, you will likely gain weight because you have eaten too many calories.

 

While eating protein is important, it is not necessary that you cut out carbohydrates or other food groups. Instead make good, healthy choices. Choose complex carbs instead simple ones. Eat fruit instead of sugary snacks. If you make proper substitutes and eat lean protein, and exercise consistently, you should be on your way to losing weight and/or keeping it off.
