There are four major blood types and diet plans that should be followed for each. Here is a breakdown of the diet that you should be following – depending on your blood type.

Blood Type A
Those with a type A diet are predisposed to a variety of healthy problems. There are simple changes that can be made to the diet which will enable the dieter to have a healthier life which include living on a mainly vegetarian diet. It is important to maintain a pure and organic diet to remove the toxins from the body which have been known to cause harm. When patients with blood type A follow the diet they are healthier, live longer and create harmony within their bodies. The immune system is boosted through this type of food program and therefore can create a healthy lifestyle from small changes.

Blood Type B
Patients with blood type B should follow a diet that is rich that can decrease the amount of cortical that is produced when these patients are exposed to stress. Although those with the blood type are generally more physically fit, they can be at an increased risk of developing certain types of illnesses and disorders. There are certain foods which should be avoided to ensure that the patient does not gain large amounts of weight, these include; chicken, wheat, lentils, tomatoes and sesame seeds. These foods are considered to be toxic to the body and should be avoided and replaced with greens and low fat dairy. These foods can create balance within the diet, lead to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle.

Blood Type AB
AB is the rarest type of blood that is found in less than five percent of the population. For this reason, those following a traditional diet may see health and other physiological problems that arise from following the wrong diet. It has been discovered that patients with type AB blood produce lower secretions of stomach acid which would cope well with smaller meals throughout the day, rather than two to three large meals. These smaller meals can reduce the amount of digestive problems that patients often face when they have been discovered to have this type of blood.

Blood Type O
Patients with the blood type O are considered to the universal donors. Unfortunately, those with blood type O are often predisposed to certain disorders that can come from the blood type. Avoiding high fat dairy and wheat is recommended for people with blood of this type. Rather, focusing on a diet that encompasses dairy substitutes and lean meat and greens will cause the most beneficial response when it comes to health.
