Dairy and meat products are an essential part of the diet and add high levels of iron, protein and calcium to the diet. Eradicating dairy from the diet indeed has some merit when it comes to weight loss. Dairy is fatty and filled with high fat choices. Most cheeses and milks are used in full fat and are products in foods that are high in calories like cream based soups and high calorie cheeses. Although, eliminating these products from the diet could cause you to lose the fiber and calcium that are ingested into the body when these foods are consumed. As an alternative, choosing healthy and low fat dairy options would provide a better situation for the body to absorb the nutrients without absorbing the calories that have been known to come along with these high fat milk options.
