Have you heard about the recent three day diet fad that can see up to ten pounds being dropped off of the scale in as little as three days? Although a fad diet, many people are seeing results and using the three day diet as kick start to weight loss. This diet cuts calories and drops weight quicker than any other crash diet and can be the perfect cure for fitting into your skinny jeans, or getting ready for anything from a hot date to a high school reunion. Are you ready to take the plunge and try the three day diet? Here is everything that you need to know to begin!
The three day diet can be adapted to your lifestyle, possibly one of the best parts of the diet. You can substitute certain foods for other foods and use flavored water or other no-calorie drinks. There are varieties of vegetables which are consumed through the diet as well as sources of lean protein and carbohydrates to maintain adequate energy levels.
Meal Plan – Day One
Breakfast: Coffee with Sweetener, Water, ½ grapefruit, 1 piece of toast with peanut butter
Lunch: ½ cup of tuna, one slice of toast, black coffee tea, water or tea
Dinner: 3 Oz. lean meat, 1 cup of carrots, 1 cup green beans, 1 cup vanilla ice cream, 1 apple
Meal Plan – Day Two
Breakfast: 1 egg any style, 1 piece of toast, 1 banana, coffee with sweetener or water
Lunch: 1 cup of cottage cheese or tuna, 5 saltine crackers, water, coffee or tea
Dinner: 2 hot dogs, ½ cup carrots, 1 banana, 1 cup broccoli, ½ cup vanilla ice cream
Meal Plan – Day Three
Breakfast: 5 saltine cracker, 1 oz. cheese, 1 apple, water or coffee
Lunch: 1 hard-boiled egg, 1 slice of toast, water or coffee
Dinner: 1 cup tuna, 1 cup cauliflower, 1 cup carrots, 1 cup melon, ½ cup vanilla ice cream
Coffee or tea can be used throughout the diet with each meal as well as throughout the day. As long as you use sweetener the beverages are fine. Water should be used throughout the day to ensure that you stay hydrated; as this is an essential part of maintaining health.
Unfortunately, because this is a crash diet there is a high chance that you will gain the weight back once you begin your diet. Most of the weight which is lost from the three day diet is going to be due to water weight being lost, rather than fat being dropped from the body. Experts recommend that the diet should not be followed for more than three days, as it could pose potential medical risks.
