The soup is created by sautéing the green onions with cooking spray in a large pot. Add bite size pieces of the green pepper along with carrots, mushrooms and cabbage. Season the vegetables now if you wish to add flavor to the soup at the beginning. Add water to the soup with cubes of bouillon to add flavor to the mixture. You should use twelve cups of water to create the soup. Simmer it for up to four hours and season with spices before serving.
You can only eat the soup for one week – this liquid diet can cause a weight loss of up to ten pounds per week.
There advantages to following the cabbage soup diet the rapid weight loss. Ten pounds can be lost in as little as seven days of following the diet. The diet should not be followed for any more than seven days as it can result in negative effects on the body.
There are a few disadvantages to the cabbage soup diet program.
