- broiled steak with no fat and salad with lettuce, tomatoes and cucumber with a side of Brussels sprouts
- roast turkey or chicken with lettuce and tomato salad
- fish or shellfish, salad and one slice of protein bread (this can be toasted)
- roast barbecued chicken with no fat and spinach with green peppers
- slice of roast lamb with no fat and lettuce and tomato salad
- broiled lean hamburger, salad with lettuce and tomatoes, Brussels sprouts
The recommended time to follow the Scarsdale diet is fourteen days and patients have reportedly lost up to twenty pounds throughout the process. Patients have best results following the diet when they follow the diet for two weeks, and combine with regular exercise and then adhering to your regular meal plan. As long as you exercise regularly throughout the weight loss program and ensure that you are keeping calories low, you should be able to see results from the diet.
