The Terrell Owens Diet Plan

toIf you are a fan of the National Football League (NFL) or are at least familiar with it, you have likely heard of superstar wide receiver Terrell Owens. Owens is one of the fittest football players in the world.  This is saying quite a bit as everyone in the NFL is fit and strong.  However, somehow Terrell Owens has managed to physically stand above others even in the NFL. He has recently come out with a diet plan to help others become healthy, strong and fit.  In it he shares some of his fitness secrets. 

Owens encourages people to become disciplined concerning diet.  He also discusses the importance of exercise.  Some of his secrets include eating small meals throughout the day and consuming lots of lean proteins and vegetables.  He doesn’t believe that there is a simple, easy or fast approach to weight loss and doesn’t encourage people to attempt do so quickly. Instead, he encourages readers to make simple changes in diet and lifestyle and to see weight loss and fitness as a long term process.

One of the primary guidelines in the book is to consume 4-5 small meals every day. This helps to keep your metabolism burning at a higher rate then if you waited long periods of time between meals and ate larger ones.  His diet plan also encourages people to engage in some type of cardiovascular exercise a few times a week for at least 20 minutes.  He is a big fan of eating lean proteins and suggests that persons not eat carbohydrates after 6:00 p.m. These actions, taken together, can increase your fitness levels and help you lose weight without having to significantly restricting your diet or working out for hours at a time. This is much safer and easier then many of the fad diets floating around.

Not eating junk food, drinking soda and other sugar laden foods is also a part of his diet regimen. In his book he also includes an exercise program that can help individuals lose weight. Individuals who purchase the book will receive this information alongside the dieting principals mentioned above. There are obviously other tidbits in the book. Terrell Owens has been praised for his extraordinary body and excellent fitness.  Recently, he has come up with an exercise and diet plan that encourages individuals to slowly change their lifestyles so that they can lose weight and stay fit.  Some of his top tips include eating 4-5 times a day, exercising at least twice a week for 20 minutes, consuming lots of lean proteins, avoiding after 6:00 p.m. Soft drinks, junk food and other sugary snacks should also be avoided.  Owens contends that if you combine exercise with eating healthy, you will able to take off the pounds and keep them off.
