For many men and women, the buttocks can be a difficult place to tone. It seems that increasing levels of men are becoming concerned with how their butt looks in their favorite pair of jeans, something that women have been battling with for ages. There are many exercises which can be used to target the area, tone the muscles and create a tight appearance of skin with a high muscle tone and low body fat.
Use these exercises when you are trying to tone your buttocks:
Tone Your Butt on a Budget
Stairs, or the action of climbing stairs can create a tight lean butt, with muscles becoming defined – which is assured to look great in your favorite pair of jeans. To firm, tighten and sculpt the muscles it is important to work the area at least four times per week for twenty to thirty minutes per workout. The muscle toning exercises can also contribute to your cardio routine, as climbing stairs can burn fat while toning the area. Try climbing the stairs on your lunch or coffee break, or avoid taking the elevator to work it into your schedule.
Tone Your Butt with Squats
Squats can be completed at home, or at the gym or fitness club. Wherever the squats are completed, they are sure to tighten, firm and tone the butt and thighs. Squats are the one exercise that has become known to develop lean muscle throughout the area and can have positive effects all the way to the thighs! First, stand with your feet shoulder width apart while making use of a barbell. Your hands should be wider than the feet and the squat should be completed with the barbell held in place, just above the shoulders. Use your thighs to ensure that you remain parallel with the ground and push with your heels for the best results.
Lunging to Tone Your Butt
When you are trying to tone the butt and leg areas it can be important to use slow and controlled movements such as the lunge. To begin the lunge, place your feet shoulder width apart. Use dumbbells to increase the resistance and effectiveness of the workout and use controlled movements while bending at the knee while bringing your left foot forward and keep your knee behind your toes. To complete the lunge, simply return to the beginning position and repeat with the other leg. This is a great way to tone the butt at home, with the use of dumbbells!
These are great exercises because they can be used at home to tone the butt! Whether you are getting ready for swimsuit season, a vacation or are simply trying to increase the muscle within your body than these are all great ways to begin!
